    • RA-0682G (which has also been seen flying simply as RA-682) spotted flying beneath a bridge in St. Petersburg

I have flown numerous times beneath the Golden Gate and Bay Bridge in San Francisco, but the FAA have no problem with that (or at least they didn't in the 80's).

      Former YAF SA341H 12660 (cn.028)

Hopefully Zis (when he is back from his summer break) can give us an idea of the year.

Prego amico .. and welcome back!

It seems that some of these North American Gazelles with an unknown fate were involved in accidents, although I cannot find anything at the moment about what happened to C-GUMH.

Try searching the Transport Canada register website for either the Registration C-GUMH or cn.1259 and it does not seem to exist ??? I searched the historic register and also by type.

BTW this is not the only registration not on there... example C-GSHL ?

Have Transport Canada left them out or were they officially registered ?

Transports Canada goes only back till '82 I think. For earlier dates you need to ask them by email and they'll look into the paper archives.

I'm guessing you do know and will let us know when the time is right. I contacted someone in Guernsey regarding many other 2-reg registrations and they told me that 2-LOUD has not been registered yet ! They did not mention if it had been reserved or applied for though.

                                  Lol! Of course Stefano knows!

The av authorities usually won't provide any confirmation while an application is being processed (unless you know the guys and/or gals in the department, and even then they will probably ask you not to go public until they are done). They will normally only confirm a registration once the application is complete. When it is, then they will publish the allocation and also confirm any public enquiries, but Jos is the man for more info on how the different registration departments behave.

Stefano .. in the meantime, can you perhaps tell us whether this 'loud bird' is an Alo or a Gaz?

Based on that criteria I am definitely not a 'true' Gaz enthusiast. In any case, I blame Zishelix for luring me into all this Gaz-talk!

The Artouste IIIB (such as found in the Lama) is my favourite sounding helicopter engine of all time, and the Artouste II variants in the Alouette II are a pretty close second .. they simply make the most wonderful racket!

                                    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wsslZVKbY0Y

So, if we are talking about the Artouste being the louder of the two (compared with the Astazou) then we could be looking at another Alo on the 2 reg.

There seem to be a couple of Soko birds which on entering the Russian register have been re-defined as G's but which were originally H's - this being one of them.

The doors are similar to those seen on the two Serbian birds which were up for sale for some time (as per page 2 of 'Gazelles for Sale') http://www.aviafora.com/forums/forum...for-sale/page2 one of which is c/n 060 former YU-HFL now E7-VDH as notified in Jos' recent post.

The rear doors on Vitaly's Gaz seem a little wider than those on 060 however.
