"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." ― Jesus Christ
"The world is a work of art, set before all for contemplation, so that through it the wisdom of Him who created it should be known."
― Basil of Caesarea
"Before I became a monk I spent my life pursuing my own satisfactions. I worked hard to ensure I got what I wanted, and succeeded many times. When I became a monk I began to satisfy the needs of others, and in doing so I have never felt more complete.
Nothing, absolutely nothing, can compare with knowing and being known by God. I ask, no I beg, the forgiveness of mankind on behalf of the church, for we have done a poor job of representing Christ. Yet, there is good news and is that you can pray to Him directly; for if in your heart you truly desire to know Him, He will make Himself known to you. Whatever you do in this life, again I say, whatever you do in this life – be reconciled with God who is your Heavenly Father!" ― Br. Giacomo

"Whether city or wilderness, yet shall I find you, O' you who frames the worlds and gives breath to every living thing. You call to all who will hear, saying: 'Come to me, and bask in the radiance of my love for you.'" ― Br. Giacomo
"Now is our chance to choose the right side. God is holding back to give us that chance. It won't last forever. We must take it or leave it." ― CS Lewis

"The Bible is God's chart by which we may navigate life's journey. It warns of deadly dangers and makes known the way which leads to our ultimate destination." ― Henry Ward Beecher
"Because I live, you will also live." ― Jesus Christ
"There is a great distinction between the sin of Adam and God's priceless gift to mankind. For while the sin of Adam brought death and destruction, the wondrous gift of God, His Son our Lord and Christ, has brought forgiveness and everlasting life to all who believe in Him." ― St. Paul

On this holy night we celebrate the coming of the promised Messiah in the person of Jesus Christ the Son of God, the One who was willing to be clothed with humanity so that He might suffer the penalty of sin for our sake. In His first appearing He did not come to set the world aright, for Isaiah prophesied "A bruised reed He will not break and a flickering lamp He will not extinguish", but He came instead to open the way between man and God.
When He ascended to heaven the Scriptures record of the disciples that "While they looked steadfastly toward heaven, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel and said to them, “Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will return in like manner.” When Christ returns He will not visit as the meek and mild Lamb of God, but as the Righteous and Triumphant Lion of the Tribe of Judah, and this time He will set the world aright, even forever.
Let us then remember this Jesus and what He has done for us, and let us place our hope in Him so that when we stand before Him we may do so not as one ashamed, but a child of His kingdom confident of His love and acceptance towards us.

"And it came to pass in those days that a decree went out from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be registered. This census first took place while Quirinius was governing Syria. So all went to be registered, everyone to his own city. Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and lineage of David, to be registered with Mary, his betrothed wife, who was with child. So it was, that while they were there, the days were completed for her to be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn."― The Gospel of St. Luke
"Behold, I send my messenger that he may prepare the way before me. And the Lord whom you seek will suddenly appear. Behold, He is coming says the Lord of hosts." ― The Prophet Malachi

The message of the Gospel is a rare and true story in which, because of love, the hero dies for the villain. This Christmas consider making 2018 the year in which Christ becomes a central part of your life.

"We may ignore God, but we can nowhere evade Him, for the world is filled with His presence. He walks everywhere continually, allowing Himself to be found by those who seek Him." ― CS Lewis

The sacrifice made by those who gave their lives during two world wars has enabled an entire generation to experience relative peace and liberty. These wars witnessed countless acts of personal courage, the denial of self in order that others may live free from tyranny and oppression.
While visiting the Operations Room of 11 Group at RAF Uxbridge during the Battle of Britain, Winston Churchill was so moved by the courage and sacrifice he witnessed that he would utter the famous words: "Never in the history of mankind has so much been owed by so many to so few."
Except there was this one occasion, through which the entire human race would owe everything to just one person — the man Jesus Christ.
He was willing to abandon His heavenly domain, to take on human form, to live a sinless life and to suffer unjustly. By so doing He purchased for every man, woman and child, pardon from sin and access to eternity. John, the apostle of love, recorded it this way; "For God so loved the world that He that gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
"The Christian life is filled with paradoxes; for we are asked to give that we may receive, to admit we are blind before we can see, to be of simple heart that we may learn wisdom, to suffer for the promise of joy, and to die that we may truly live." — Author unknown
