    Mini Alouette II

First pictures of my Heller 1/48 Alouette II G-IPJK (note the Gazelle under construction in background)

Still to put some finishing touches to the Alouette, fine detail will be gained from photos I have !

Then to finish the Gazelle, not sure what scheme I want yet but it will be my own rather than an Army, Navy of RAF scheme not really into that ! Like to personalise my models. Already have two Jetrangers and a Hughes 500 in same scale.

    Grazie Elipix.

There now seem to be a few Alouette II's on the Guernsey register.

    Grazie Jos, much appreciated.

For me this reinforces the advantage of referring to the manufacturer's serial no. as the 'construction number' so as to make clear the distinction between different types of serials.

    Hi Enrico,

In fact they are former South African military serials 19, 20 and 21 (not Rhodesian). As you know, civil aircraft have registrations, military ones have serials. Military serials are also referred to as serial numbers (when they only contain numbers).

Jos, if you're reading this could you explain why this aircraft has 'SN 21' written on its nose?

On your database I see that cn's 1469, 1470 and 1471 were given the Rhodesian designations 19, 20 and 21 but why would these be considered serial numbers?
