    Storm Petra from an Ecureuil

Earlier this month, storm Petra battered parts of the French and British coast only days after another storm had smashed its way through the area. While powerful winds and massive waves were tearing into the French coast, photographer Philip Plisson was in a helicopter capturing the action.

In the video, Plisson is accompanied by his assistant of 16 years, Christophe le Potierwith. The pilot is Thierry Leygnac and the Ecureuil belongs to Bretagne Helicopteres.

Plisson described the shoot as very emotional one, saying that he “never expected to experience so many emotions.”

How to Destroy a Turbine in Three Easy Steps!

I really don't like being critical, but .. this seems irresponsible. Why O' why did he hammer the starter for so long without a light-off? It 'may' have been (just) within limits but you kill the starter geni as well as the battery. Then in the following attempts .. I mean what can one say! There should have been a throttle chop within a second of light-off! I simply cannot believe that this donk didn't overtemp. I sincerely hope the turbine was pulled and sent for overhaul.

What an unholy mess of a start!
