Those applying should have Corporate experience and hold a current EASA rotary wing multi engine licence with an instrument rating. A type rating on the EC155, A109 or S76 is advantageous. Must have a minimum of 700 hours rotary experience.
Operating from Stansted, the successful candidate should be prepared to work throughout the UK and Europe and be prepared to support VIP aircraft on detachments abroad when required.
The role demands flexibility, excellent communication skills and a conscientious and professional approach to work.

EC135 Pilot Required
Location: Bristol Airport
Salary: £58,566 to £65,423
Western Power Distribution (WPD) is the largest Distribution Network Operator in the United Kingdom. With over 90,000 km’s of overhead electricity network serving 7.8 million customers WPD is unique as it operates its own Helicopter Unit. 2013 saw the Unit achieving 50 years’ service to the Electricity Industry. Currently utilising 4 x EC135P1 helicopters the Unit supports WPD’s Network Services routinely flying in excess of 2500 hours per year patrolling the overhead network, reacting to emergency requests, providing thermal patrols and conducting underslung load operations.
All flying is conducted day VFR with pilots achieving 4.5 – 5 hours of flying per day with the majority of time spent at 25 – 100 feet agl. We are currently looking for a suitably qualified pilot to join our Bristol based operation.
The successful applicant shall:
· Be highly motivated and able to work positively within a small team;
· Maintain a high degree of professionalism when operating in a challenging and constantly changing environment;
· Be required to work away from base (usually no more than one week in four) and, when needed, work overtime which may include some weekends in order to meet business needs.

Essential Requirements:
· An EASA Commercial Pilot’s Licence;
· EC135 Type Rating;
· Minimum 2000 Total Helicopter Hours;
· Minimum 500 Multi Engine Helicopter Hours;
· To relocate, if necessary, to live within 45 minutes of the Unit.
Preferred:
· EC135 TRI / TRE endorsement;
· A background in Police / Air ambulance / Military would be an advantage;
· Underslung Load Experience.
Responsible for:
· All appropriate flying duties.
· Liaising with customers on the services provided by the Helicopter Unit.
· Maintaining appropriate records.
· Liaising with Civil and Military airfields.
· Unit Administration Tasks.
