              Zis was quicker than me!

Indeed, the nights could be quite chilly in the Saudi desert, according to what the Desert Storm vets told. I presume the picture was taken in January 1991 latest, as 'CXD' does not seem to sport the 'invasion stripes'. The only HOT-fitted Gazelles used in the Gulf were all SA 342Ms.

Was wondering when she might head up there as she seems to have been around Stapleford and Redhill over the past few weeks.

Do you know yet where her base will be, I think I have asked before but I cannot recall whether the matter was settled.

The text in Japanese states something like: Film director Mamoru Oshii flew on-board this helicopter, of which only 2 examples exist in Japan, from Sendai to Tokyo.
