  • Grey Detailing are back at Pattles Grove Farm working on Graham Hinkley's other Gazelle G-CBGZ.

Grey Detialing owner Graham Lay explains that 'GZ' is currently receiving her waterless wash and sealant in preparation for having the 'System X Max' coating applied.

      • New Gazelle Placed on UK Register

Details from CAA: G-CMMI SA341G, c/n 1267, ex French military 'BCD'; registered 15-Feb-2023 to SECONDO BALDI, COSTIGLIOLE D'ASTI (AT), ITALY.

This CAA information is doubtful, as 1267 is an SA341F2 model, and (as far as I know) never was 'BCD'. Perhaps others can clarify this.

Thanks Xbdt - so I wonder how do the CAA have it as an SA341G with a previous French military serial BCD ??????

I agree with the two comments thus far. BTW: H269A G-CMLU was registered from 12-Dec-2022 until 09-Jan-2023, and was cancelled to the USA.

          • New Gazelle Placed on UK Register

G-CMMX SA341G, c/n 1259, registered 17-Feb-2023 to EliExpress Srls, Costigliole d'Asti (AT), Italy. This is ex N976SF, which was cancelled 15-Jun-2022 on export to South Africa, but probably never registered there.

Like I reported earlier, Gazelle G-CMMI was registered 15-Feb-2023 to Mr. Secondo Baldi. I have been told that Mr. Baldi is the original owner of EliExpress.

I have been informed the CAA made a mistake when registering it should have been f2 ex French

Thanks for the info. The CAA has corrected the type to SA341F2, but has kept the PI as 'BCD French Military'.

Avia member Andrew Kane replaces Gazelle with Bell 505

Following in the footsteps of the Montenegrin Air Force, Avia member Andrew has replaced his long-time SA341G (originally G-KANE/YU-HMC) with a Bell 505 G-KANF. Andrew also operated another Gazelle after 1136 was written-off while in maintenance.

At this stage we don't know whether this marks the end of Andrew's association with Gazelles.

From what we have understood from other owners who have traded their existing aircraft for the 505, the main appeal appears to be it's operating cost.
